Let's Make My Pumpkin Tart with Cranberry-Pomegranate Glaze!
A cooking class-style video tutorial
In the final installment of Susanality before Thanksgiving, I bring you what, in my opinion, is the perfect dessert to round out your feast.
My Pumpkin Tart with Cranberry-Pomegranate Glaze packs pumpkin (or butternut squash) puree, chocolate, cranberries, and pomegranate juice and seeds — all layered atop a graham cracker crust. There is so much seasonal flavor packed in every bite, with just the right amount of crunch, tang, CHOCOLATE, and sweetness. It is also a real stunner thanks to the shiny glaze and pomegranate seeds.
If you have my cookbook Open Kitchen, this recipe may look familiar. But here, I simplify the process even more, to make it as easy to both cook and clean up afterward as possible.
I’ll be sending the recipe below out to all subscribers this Friday, but here I’m sharing a video tutorial showing exactly what each step should look like. As a visual learner myself, tutorials like this take all the guesswork (read: possible stress) out of the cooking process. In it I also share a few styling tips. For example, you will see that I use a toothpick — one of my go-to tools when I’m on a set — to pop any bubbles after pouring the glaze!
If you have any questions about this or other Thanksgiving dishes I’ve shared, leave them in the comments below and I’ll get back to you ASAP. I hope you have a happy and delicious Thanksgiving and enjoy the cooking process as much as I always do!
