Love all your galettes! These Lucy Rose look like Pink Pearl or Strawberry Parfait apples we get in California. So beautiful! And appreciate the refresher on the delicious chicken recipe.
I’m about to go apple picking and this recipe inspired me on so many levels. How brilliant to come up with a halvah frangipane! Sesame and apple go so well together. I also loved learning about the Lucy rose apple. We have such a great variety of apples grown here on the East Coast, but I have got to try this new North Central Washington hybrid. I love its gorgeous red blush and it sounds tartly sweet and delicious. Wish it was available in NYC, but we’ve got many other varieties here that should work very well in this recipe.
So sorry to hear about your Mom. I met her once at the Bridgehampton Library "friday readings". I love your visual/color sense that I see in all your food.
Life's too short not to take advantage of nature's beautiful fruits & vegetables!

This galette is gorgeous! and nonintimidating for this amateur baker. Now I must seek out these Lucy Rose apples.
Thanks Amy! I rarely bother with pie because I really prefer making and eating a galette!
Love this for so many different reasons - on my list to try !
