I made this yesterday for lunch with a Vietnamese pork dish. Absolutely brilliant. The miso pulled it together magically. Next time I might just pickle the shallots as I am averse to anything I deem finicky and frying little rings of shallots wakes up the annoy-making part of my brain, though they were delicious. Thank you!

I love Halsey Farm stand! I live in CT and whenever I’m in the Hamptons, that is my last stop before heading for the ferry. Love your recipes and cook books.
